Brand pages on Google+
Love it or hate it, social networking has become an essential part of the online experience for both individuals and businesses. Choosing how you want to engage is an important decision and there are many options available - the newest of which is Google+, a still-young social network from the search engine giant.
Just added to the platform today is the ability to create profiles for businesses and brands and, as fans of Google+, we were quick to jump on the bandwagon. The initial offering is, to be honest about it, somewhat bare - but it is only the initial offering. We have no doubt Google will continue to offer deep integration to many of its other services and platforms including their maps and places, analytics and media services. The clincher for us though, is what we see as the inevitable outcome of Google investing in social networking and that is the impact it will have on search and discovery and getting your business on Google+ is the first stage of staying in that loop.
